Questions about BMEssentia Design

What is BMEssentia Design?

A service that turns a brief for a clinical room, a department, a clinic or a hospital wing into a measured plan, a 3D walkthrough, an equipment list, a rules check against named guidance and a cost estimate.

What kinds of facilities can it plan?

Clinical rooms, departments, clinics and hospital wings. Worked examples include a private dental clinic, a haemodialysis unit, a day surgery centre on two floors, an 8-bed intensive care unit and a medical spa. It can also produce 3D device visuals and training simulations.

Which standards does it check?

Each check names the guidance it rests on, for example the ADA 2010 Standards for Accessible Design, HTM 01-05 for dental decontamination, the FGI Guidelines for dialysis stations, ISO 23500 for dialysis water, IEC 60364-7-710 for electrical installations in medical locations, NFPA 99 and HTM 02-01 for medical gases, and HTM 03-01 and ASHRAE 170 for ventilation. The edition in force locally must always be confirmed.

Is the design approved by an engineer?

Not unless a person really reviewed it. Shielding is set by the radiation protection adviser, and electrical, gas, ventilation, fire and licensing items are flagged for the qualified professional. Nothing is called engineer verified unless it was.

Does it invent room sizes?

No. A figure with no source is shown as a planning figure to be confirmed by the professional, so you can see exactly which numbers still need a source.

Can I see it in 3D?

Yes. Every plan has a dollhouse cutaway, eye-level room views and a walk mode, with BMEssentia Medical City device models in the rooms.

How does the service work?

Brief, estimate, concept, walkthrough and final. You send the brief, we scope it and send a cost estimate, then you walk the concept in 3D, ask for changes and approve. We reply to a brief within two working days.

Can I try it myself first?

Yes. Room Builder and Hospital Architect in the Medical City simulations use the same rules, free. In Essentia, the Plan studio gives a first facility concept you can send to BMEssentia Design.

Does it recommend particular equipment brands?

No. BMEssentia Design is vendor neutral, with no paid equipment placement.

What is BMEssentia Design?

How BMEssentia Design plans clinics, ICUs, dialysis units and day surgery centres with AI: the standards it checks, what it leaves to professionals, and how the service works.
